Congressman J. Randy Forbes to speak at Chesterfield Chamber’s Luncheon

Join the Chesterfield County Chamber of Commerce for our August monthly luncheon on Wednesday, August 11.  Congressman J. Randy Forbes will be our guest speaker. Congressman Forbes is a champion of the small business community and he always has great insight to offer with respect to what is happening in Congress.

Congressman J. Randy Forbes (R-VA 4th District) was elected to Congress in 2001. As Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Readiness Subcommittee, Forbes is tasked with ensuring that our men and women in uniform have the equipment, facilities, and training to be the most effective military in the world. His work to position Fort Lee through the last BRAC round led to the arrival of nearly 12,000 jobs in the Chesterfield/Tri-Cities area.

A life-long resident of Virginia, Forbes began his career in private law practice. He graduated from Great Bridge High School in Chesapeake, was valedictorian of his class at Randolph-Macon College, and graduated from the University Of Virginia School Of Law.

In addition to his general Congressional responsibilities, Randy serves on the Judiciary Committee, as well as the Congressional Prayer Caucus, Congressional China Caucus and the Congressional Modeling and Simulation Caucus.

The event will take place at Meadowbrook Country Club located at 3700 Cogbill Road, Richmond 23234.  Doors open at 11:15 a.m. Buffet begins at 11:30 a.m. and the program will begin at 12 noon until 1:00 p.m.

Registration deadline is Friday, August 6 for the member rate of $15 and a non-member rate of $20.

Registrations made after Friday, August 6 will be at the rate of $20 for members and $25 for non-members.

Online Registration will close Monday, August 9 at midnight. Registrations received after this time cannotbe processed.

There will be a $30 at the door cost for non-registered members and $35 for nonmembers. It is very important that we receive your registration before the day of the event.

48 hours notice of cancellation is required for all refunds or credits.
