Shop Chesterfield First is a campaign to promote and support Chesterfield County businesses and grow our local economy. We are striving to make our county residents’ hard-earned dollars go further by supporting county businesses, which in turn helps preserve everything we hold dear about Chesterfield County. This includes national chain stores as well as locally owned businesses. Just modest changes in local consumer spending habits can generate substantial county economic impact.

While recent economic events have posed new challenges, the port is projected to undergo tremendous growth over the next decade. To make this growth a reality, however, Virginia must compete to attract new businesses looking to locate or expand and create jobs.
